Toyota announced a voluntary recall of more than 342,000 Tacoma Access Cab pickups between the years of 2004 and 2011.
This recall is due to faulty seatbelt pretensioners coming loose in drivers’ and passengers’ seatbelts. This is a potential threat during an accident due to seatbelt not being properly fastened into the vehicle. This recall is also only for the Access Cab trucks and no other styles.
According to Toyota there has been no mention of injuries or accidents due to this problem and owners will be notified if their vehicle is affected by the recall beginning in September.
